  • How long will it take to get my chain?

Every piece is individually handcrafted, and production begins as soon as your order is placed. Because each chain is made specifically for you, production times can vary.

Quality is never rushed. Every piece is carefully inspected before shipping. If a chain does not meet my quality standards, I may return it to production or completely restart the piece rather than send you something that isn’t right.

As soon as your piece is finished and ready to ship, you’ll receive your shipping and tracking information.

Please allow up to 3 weeks before requesting a status update. This allows me to stay focused on production and spend more time handcrafting your piece instead of answering messages.

  • Does the price change with the price of silver?

Yes. At CubanLinkGuy.com, we want you to get the best possible price based on the current silver market.

We keep our production costs separate and let our website automatically calculate the silver portion of your order based on the current market price of silver. This means that when the price of silver goes up or down, the price of your chain adjusts accordingly.

Our goal is simple: to keep your price as close as possible to the actual cost of silver at the time you place your order.



  • Can I Trade In Silver or Gold Toward a New Chain?

Yes! If you purchased a .999 Pure Silver chain from Cuban Link Guy, we’ll gladly give you 100% of the current spot value of the silver as a credit toward your next chain.

We may also accept other forms of gold and silver, which can be evaluated and credited based on current market value.

  • What is Gold Bonding? How long does it last?

My 14Kt Gold bonding over Silver is a very heavy form of gold plating — about 100 times thicker than standard gold plating and done with real 14Kt Gold, which makes it significantly more durable and long-lasting. However, the lifespan of gold bonding depends on several factors, including:

* Your body chemistry (pH) – Some people's skin is more acidic, which can cause gold layers to wear faster.

* How the jewelry is worn – Daily wear, friction, and frequent handling will shorten its lifespan.

* Exposure to chemicals – Chlorine, cleaning agents, perfumes, lotions, and even salt water can damage the bond over time.

* Care and maintenance – Avoiding harsh conditions and cleaning gently can help it last longer.

On average, with proper care, gold bonded jewelry can last 1 to 3 years or longer before showing signs of wear. Some pieces may last much longer, especially if worn occasionally and maintained well.


  • Will you stamp my Gold Bonded Chain 14Kt?

I don’t stamp these chains with a 14K gold stamp because they are not solid 14K gold, and I believe in being fully transparent with my customers. These are high-quality gold bonded chains over solid .999 silver, and the bonding is so durable that some have told me it could pass a scratch test. But passing a test doesn't make it real 14K gold. I sell with integrity, and I don’t want anyone to be misled or use my product to mislead others.


  • Can I get my chain without the CLG logo? 

Every Cuban Link Guy chain comes with my logo as a mark of authenticity and craftsmanship. It's my signature. My way of standing behind every piece I make.

If you'd prefer not to have the logo on your chain, I completely respect that and will honor your request. However, without it, I won't be able to extend my after-sale services, as the logo is what identifies the piece as an authentic Cuban Link Guy chain.



  • Can I get my piece re-bonded?

Yes. For gold bonding/re-bonding, I charge $2 per gram of the piece.

If you want the chain or bracelet to look like brand new, I recommend doing a refurbish first. The refurbishing process removes scratches and surface imperfections before the new gold bond is applied. I will also make any minor adjustments if needed.

Gold bonding alone will not hide scratches or wear, it simply adds a fresh layer of gold.

The refurbishing service is $100, and then the bonding is calculated based on the weight of the piece at $2 per gram.

If you'd like, you can send me the weight of the chain/bracelet, and I can estimate the total cost for you.



  • Is the Silver going to tarnish?

Yes — real silver can naturally tarnish over time. It’s how you know you have REAL silver and not a plated piece. How quickly that happens varies from person to person. Factors like skin pH, sweat, humidity, lotions, colognes, and environment all play a role. Some people wear silver daily and see very little tarnish, while others may notice it sooner.”

“Regular wear actually helps in many cases, but to slow the process, we recommend keeping the chain dry when not in use, avoiding contact with chemicals (pools, hot tubs, cleaners), and storing it in a dry place.”

“If tarnish does occur, it’s only surface-level and completely reversible. A quick polish with a silver cloth or a proper silver cleaner will restore the original shine in minutes.
